Villa Bella Vista is a luxury villa rentals in Portugal. Situated in the famous Douro Valley Region, a region known for its rural charm and exquisite wines, like World Famous Port Wine, this villa combines stunning panoramic views with absolute privacy.
Villa Bella Vista is a beautiful and luxurious air conditioned villa with private infinity pool and garden, in an outstanding setting. The location is breathtaking – on the slopes of the valley surrounded by vineyards and overlooking a bend in the Douro River.
Exceptionally fresh and modern décor making full use of traditional materials, in particular the local stone and themed with the Porto Wine industry, overall the effect is fabulous.
The accommodation comprises a comfortable living and dining room with fireplace and satellite television, large patio doors allow plenty of light into the room and enable you to enjoy the stunning views of the river in the valley below.
Furnishings are comfortable, modern and elegant yet practical. The beautiful terrace at the front of the villa is partly covered and with the infinity pool you’ll get the full opportunity to soak this scenery in every morning, evening and night whether you are lounging on the hammocks, splashing around in the pool or having dinner on the outside dining table. The smell of fresh flowers and lavenders makes the setting even more peaceful, serene and relaxing.
Set in substantial, enclosed grounds with plenty of garden furniture and a barbecue this is a restful, beautiful place to holiday.

The inside of the villa is well-furnished, centrally air-conditioned and has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
The master bedroom has a direct view onto the valley and is the best view to wake up to.
The living and dining rooms all have views to the valley and are very comfortably furnished with multiple sofas, hanging loungers and dining table/chairs.
The kitchen decorated in country style, is well stocked with basic items like sugar, salt, oils and has all the appliances one can hope for to make breakfast, lunch or dinner in the villa.
You can walk among the vines and even walk up the ill but you definitely need a car to explore everything that this region has to offer.
The town Peso da Régua is a quick 10 min ride by car along the river and has a couple of good wine stores and groceries.
The villa of Pinhão is to the east and takes about 20-30 minuts to get to – along the way, there are numerous Port houses where you can sample/buy ( Sandeman ; Fonseca ; Taylors; Quinta das Carvalhas, etc. ) .
The areas to the south of Folgosa are also fabulous and easy to get to (Lamego is one such place).
This villa its located in the the Douro Wine Region, inscribed as an UNESCO World Heritage and the oldest Quality Wine Producing Region (QWPR) in the World. This region was also considered, in March 2010, the World’s 7th Best Sustainable Tourism Destination by National Geographic.

The beautifully furnished and extensively equipped Villa Bella Vista, 3 bedroom and 2 full bathrooms (1 in ensuite master bedroom) are provided with all linen and apartment towels, and the apartment will be cleaned fully before each arrival and after each departure.
There is also very large river-view terrace with outside furniture (dinning table, chairs and sun loungers), that gets the sun for almost all of the day - our favourite place for an early evening drink!
The Fully equipped kitchen with oven, microwave, refrigerator, dishwasher and small electrical appliances has everything you would expect from.
There is a spacious lounge/dining area with dining table and seating for 6 people, large sofas, coffee table, TV, and a CD player.

A non-refundable deposit of thirty percent (30%) of the total rental cost has to be paid to us to secure the reservation, within 5 days of confirmation. Once we receive the deposit, your provisional reservation will be a definitive reservation. (For bookings of Chalets in Zermatt or Villas in Greece and Bali the deposit to pay is 50%).
The balance of the total rental cost must be paid not less than eight weeks prior to the arrival at the villa.
We are entitled to treat the booking as cancelled if the payment fails the balance on time and the cancellation policy set out below will apply.
Once we have received your deposit, we will confirm your booking by sending you a voucher. Please check this carefully as soon as you receive it. Contact us immediately if any information which appears on the voucher seems to be incorrect or incomplete, as it may not be possible to make changes later.
A binding contract between you and the Owner will come into existence on receipt of your deposit.
Once the rental charge is fully settled and the Booking Form fully completed, we send you the Accommodation voucher along with the Directions how to reach the property and the useful contact telephone numbers.
Methods of payment:
Payments are received in Euros, by Bank transfer and credit cards through Paypal with Visa, Mastercard & Amex. Please be aware if you pay with credit card you will be subject to a surcharge of 3%.
Alterations/Cancellations by the Owner
In the unlikely event of a significant change or cancellation of the booking by the Owner, we will inform the client as soon as possible. If requested and if available we will try to arrange alternative accommodation of a similar type, price, standard and location. Alternatively, the client will receive a full refund, but we will not be liable to pay cancellation charges on the travel arrangements or for any other loss.
Luxury Villa Rentals Italy acts only as agents for accommodations and assumes no responsibility for property loss or damage, nor liability for injury, accident, delay or irregularity which may be occasioned either by reason or defect in any vehicle or the acts of any company or persons engaged in conveying the passengers to or from their accommodations. If for any reason beyond its control including force majeure, or the sale of the house, Luxury Villa Rentals Italy is forced to cancel the booking made by the client or his agent, best efforts will be made to offer another property of equivalent standard with which the client will be in agreement. If the price of the alternative property is less, the difference will be refunded to the client, but if the price is higher the client must pay the difference. If however, no agreement can be reached, both parties are entitled to cancel. Luxury Villa Rentals Italy will refund to the client only the rental price paid; no other amounts will become due.
Cancellations by You
Any cancellation by the client (for whatever reason) must be in writing (Including email or fax). The effective date of cancellation is the date we receive written notification. If the client cancels after the deposit has been paid, it will lose the deposit.
If the client cancels after the balance has been paid, it will lose both deposit and the balance.
We strongly recommend that the client takes out insurance to cover any cancellation.
All clients must be insured against holidays risks. Their signature on the booking form is a declaration that the client has a travel insurance and cancellation cover. On the Booking Form the client have to include the name and address of the insurance company and the policy number.
Security and Valuables
Any valuables left at the villa are left at own risk. Neither we nor the Owner are responsible for any loss. When provided, burglar alarms must be activated, safes used and proper care be taken against theft and burglary. It is essential and your responsibility to ensure all doors, shutters, windows are closed and locked when leaving the villa, or when by the poolside/in the grounds. No refund can be given should the client decide to vacate the property as a consequence of a burglary; unless it can be proven that the Owner has failed to inform the client of anti-burglary systems in the villa.
A security deposit is required to cover the cost of any damages or breakages to, or at the property, any additional cleaning, the cost of telephone and/or other services/utilities that are not included in the rental price. This amount will be payable by the client direct to the Owner in cash in Euros at the arrival.
The cost of utilities and/or other services used by the client or any damage caused by the client will be deducted from the security deposit and the remaining balance will be returned to the client by the Owner at the departure from the villa. If the security deposit paid by the client is not sufficient to cover the cost of such utilities and/or services or damage, the Owner is entitled to recover any additional costs from the client.
It is a client's responsibility to make sure the client deals with the arrangements for the security deposit. We can take no responsibility for any loss in relation to the security deposit.
The Owner reserves the right to make deductions from the security deposit for any extra cleaning, over the number of hours committed to departure cleaning, and to claim against the client for damage or loss, the cost of which exceeds the security deposit.
Rentals run from Saturday to Saturday (unless otherwise agreed):
- arrival times: between 3 p.m. and 7.30 p.m.. For late arrivals after 7:30pm hours there could be foreseen an extra charge of 50 Euros. After 22:00 hours it will be not possible to arrange a check in.
- departure times: before 10.00 a.m. (unless otherwise agreed):
- any delays or variations must be communicated at least 48 hours before arrival. No refund will be given if the guest is unable to take up residence of the property on the expected day or at the scheduled time owing to travel problems. The same rule applies to early departure
Cleaning and order
The houses must be delivered and left clean and in order. Crockery and other equipment of the house (chairs, blankets, etc.) must not be used or transported out of the house. Candles and oil burners are not permitted inside the house and must be used with great care on paved terraces. After delivery, repairs of breakdowns caused by the Clients and those of ordinary maintenance (plugging of toilets. and basins, damages to equipment and furniture and to the property, stains on mattresses and bed covers, broken crockery) will be charged to the Clients and the amounts will be deducted directly from the security deposit. In uncertain circumstances the person in charge will keep the whole of the security deposit and will return any balance together with receipts for the expenses met for repairs carried out after the departure of the Client.
