Casa do Lago is set at a privileged location on Portugal’s Silver Coast, overlooking the natural asset of Lagoa de Óbidos and the sea. The whole property faces the sun and there are many areas where you can sunbathe, but you can also go to the nearby beach.
There are plenty of places to go, all of them just minutes away, like the amusing Praya D’El Rey golf course, the historical Óbidos village or the soothing Buddha Eden, just to mention a few.
Casa do Lago is the ideal vacation rentals for families or group or friends to get together but also great for couples; this amazing property offers outstanding accommodation for eleven people or even more.
This property is equipped with everything you and your family may need to enjoy your well-deserved vacations.
The villa Casa Do Lago is a beautiful child friendly holiday villa and provides outstanding accommodation for up to 11 people. All rooms are forward facing and provide views over the outside pool area and lagoon. The house is on 3 levels and all these are wheelchair accessible. An important note regarding wheelchair accessibility is that both the middle and top floors are directly accessible from the driveway.
The middle floor consists of the living room, kitchen and 2 bedrooms. From here you can walk out to the swimming pool, poolside outdoor gym, playground, pond and barbecue area. There is also access to the car parking area from the middle floor.
The upper floor has the remaining 3 bedrooms and balconies where you can enjoy the breathtaking views.
The living room has three large sofas, a comfortable chair, a fireplace and a discrete (yet convenient) bathroom. The space is decorated with a built-in-fish-tank and plants. For your entertainment, you have Wireless Internet, Satellite TV, DVD, board games and a few books. Security safe for your valuables is also available.
The dining area is right next to the living room and has a table for twelve. Like all the other rooms, it has a lovely view and is carefully decorated.
Casa do Lago’s modern kitchen is equipped with all the appliances you may need: microwave oven, fridge, coffee maker, toaster, dish washer, ice maker, wine fridge, etc. Full equipped laundry room, with washing machine and clothes dryer. Upon your arrival, you will find the fridge and cabinets supplied with fresh groceries
There are five spacious bedrooms, named according to their purpose or decoration theme: Master, Triple, Blue, Lilac and Children’s:
The Master bedroom is located on the first floor. It has a large double bed, a sofa bed, a closet a balcony and a en suite bathroom equipped with a jacuzzi bathtub.
The Children’s bedroom has two single beds, a sofa bed, a balcony and a en suite bathroom equipped with a shower cabin.
The Triple bedroom is next to the Master Bedroom. It has three single beds, a sofa, TV, r and a large private balcony. Its bathroom has a hydro massage shower / steam bath cabin.
The Lilac bedroom is located on the ground floor, at pool level, and shares its terrace with the Blue bedroom. This bedroom is specially adjusted to accommodate handicapped, if necessary. It has a double bed, an accessible wardrobe and a wheelchair friendly en suite bathroom.
The Blue bedroom is also on the ground floor, and has a double bed. Its terrace is at the villa’s mid-level, near the pool and outdoor dining space. The en suite bathroom has a tube bath.
All of the bedrooms have air conditioning, automatic shades (with sun and wind sensors), wardrobes and en suite bathrooms.
There are also 2 travel cots and a highchair available for infants
The villa’s outside area is very private, tranquil, safe and child friendly.
The outside area at Caso Do Lago must be experienced to be believed. There, everything is looking out to breathtaking views, and you can find the pool, playground, bbq / outdoor dining area, mini-golf, pond, extensive gardens, parking spaces, keep fit circuit and even some exercise equipment and an infinity private heated pool (with fence).
Casa do Lago is also the perdect place to relax and soak up the sun since all rooms are forward facing and provide outstanding views over the outside pool area and lagoon. In fact, the whole property faces the South, the Sun and the natural asset of Óbidos lagoon, with the sea beyond – and at a short distance, you have the nearby Foz do Arelho beach.
The villa fits an excellent point from where to explore the fantastic Silver Coast with plenty of interesting places to visit and things to do. Just at minutes away: sunny beaches, challenging golf courses, historic towns, interesting museums, the Wine Route, superb restaurants… enjoy the Portuguese pleasant weather, discover the culture, and delight yourself with wines, seafood and Portuguese cuisine and confectionery.
Casa do Lago has so much to keep you entertained that you really don’t need to go anywhere else, but, if you like nature, why not take a bike and explore the surrounding area? There are 15 bicycles (and helmets) at your disposal.
For those (few) days when the weather isn’t inviting or to enjoy your evenings, you can take advantage of the facilities at your disposal, like the Wireless Internet, the DVD Player, the Satellite TV, the Stereo System or the Board Games.

A non-refundable deposit of thirty percent (30%) of the total rental cost has to be paid to us to secure the reservation, within 5 days of confirmation. Once we receive the deposit, your provisional reservation will be a definitive reservation. (For bookings of Chalets in Zermatt or Villas in Greece and Bali the deposit to pay is 50%).
The balance of the total rental cost must be paid not less than eight weeks prior to the arrival at the villa.
We are entitled to treat the booking as cancelled if the payment fails the balance on time and the cancellation policy set out below will apply.
Once we have received your deposit, we will confirm your booking by sending you a voucher. Please check this carefully as soon as you receive it. Contact us immediately if any information which appears on the voucher seems to be incorrect or incomplete, as it may not be possible to make changes later.
A binding contract between you and the Owner will come into existence on receipt of your deposit.
Once the rental charge is fully settled and the Booking Form fully completed, we send you the Accommodation voucher along with the Directions how to reach the property and the useful contact telephone numbers.
Methods of payment:
Payments are received in Euros, by Bank transfer and credit cards through Paypal with Visa, Mastercard & Amex. Please be aware if you pay with credit card you will be subject to a surcharge of 3%.
Alterations/Cancellations by the Owner
In the unlikely event of a significant change or cancellation of the booking by the Owner, we will inform the client as soon as possible. If requested and if available we will try to arrange alternative accommodation of a similar type, price, standard and location. Alternatively, the client will receive a full refund, but we will not be liable to pay cancellation charges on the travel arrangements or for any other loss.
Luxury Villa Rentals Italy acts only as agents for accommodations and assumes no responsibility for property loss or damage, nor liability for injury, accident, delay or irregularity which may be occasioned either by reason or defect in any vehicle or the acts of any company or persons engaged in conveying the passengers to or from their accommodations. If for any reason beyond its control including force majeure, or the sale of the house, Luxury Villa Rentals Italy is forced to cancel the booking made by the client or his agent, best efforts will be made to offer another property of equivalent standard with which the client will be in agreement. If the price of the alternative property is less, the difference will be refunded to the client, but if the price is higher the client must pay the difference. If however, no agreement can be reached, both parties are entitled to cancel. Luxury Villa Rentals Italy will refund to the client only the rental price paid; no other amounts will become due.
Cancellations by You
Any cancellation by the client (for whatever reason) must be in writing (Including email or fax). The effective date of cancellation is the date we receive written notification. If the client cancels after the deposit has been paid, it will lose the deposit.
If the client cancels after the balance has been paid, it will lose both deposit and the balance.
We strongly recommend that the client takes out insurance to cover any cancellation.
All clients must be insured against holidays risks. Their signature on the booking form is a declaration that the client has a travel insurance and cancellation cover. On the Booking Form the client have to include the name and address of the insurance company and the policy number.
Security and Valuables
Any valuables left at the villa are left at own risk. Neither we nor the Owner are responsible for any loss. When provided, burglar alarms must be activated, safes used and proper care be taken against theft and burglary. It is essential and your responsibility to ensure all doors, shutters, windows are closed and locked when leaving the villa, or when by the poolside/in the grounds. No refund can be given should the client decide to vacate the property as a consequence of a burglary; unless it can be proven that the Owner has failed to inform the client of anti-burglary systems in the villa.
A security deposit is required to cover the cost of any damages or breakages to, or at the property, any additional cleaning, the cost of telephone and/or other services/utilities that are not included in the rental price. This amount will be payable by the client direct to the Owner in cash in Euros at the arrival.
The cost of utilities and/or other services used by the client or any damage caused by the client will be deducted from the security deposit and the remaining balance will be returned to the client by the Owner at the departure from the villa. If the security deposit paid by the client is not sufficient to cover the cost of such utilities and/or services or damage, the Owner is entitled to recover any additional costs from the client.
It is a client's responsibility to make sure the client deals with the arrangements for the security deposit. We can take no responsibility for any loss in relation to the security deposit.
The Owner reserves the right to make deductions from the security deposit for any extra cleaning, over the number of hours committed to departure cleaning, and to claim against the client for damage or loss, the cost of which exceeds the security deposit.
Rentals run from Saturday to Saturday (unless otherwise agreed):
- arrival times: between 3 p.m. and 7.30 p.m.. For late arrivals after 7:30pm hours there could be foreseen an extra charge of 50 Euros. After 22:00 hours it will be not possible to arrange a check in.
- departure times: before 10.00 a.m. (unless otherwise agreed):
- any delays or variations must be communicated at least 48 hours before arrival. No refund will be given if the guest is unable to take up residence of the property on the expected day or at the scheduled time owing to travel problems. The same rule applies to early departure
Cleaning and order
The houses must be delivered and left clean and in order. Crockery and other equipment of the house (chairs, blankets, etc.) must not be used or transported out of the house. Candles and oil burners are not permitted inside the house and must be used with great care on paved terraces. After delivery, repairs of breakdowns caused by the Clients and those of ordinary maintenance (plugging of toilets. and basins, damages to equipment and furniture and to the property, stains on mattresses and bed covers, broken crockery) will be charged to the Clients and the amounts will be deducted directly from the security deposit. In uncertain circumstances the person in charge will keep the whole of the security deposit and will return any balance together with receipts for the expenses met for repairs carried out after the departure of the Client.
