Fully staffed and with six large bedrooms and converted study (which can serve as an additional bedroom), a deluxe 30-metre swimming pool and lavish living areas featuring a unique mix of modern art and exotic artefacts, this exquisite villa exudes space and charm.
Located in the rural district of Canggu, just minutes from some of Bali’s most revered surf beaches, Sea & Salt Villa offers incredible sunsets with glimpses of the mystical Batukaru volcano in the distance.
Sea & Salt Villa’s main two-storey residence includes four bedrooms while three further guest rooms are situated in individual pavilions leading down towards the river. Each ensuite bedroom is air-conditioned and features black-out curtains, a flat-screen TV and DVD player and a small fridge.
Master suite 1 (Saffron): This huge suite has incredible views over the garden and rice fields. A king-size four-poster bed with golden mosquito net and bright fuchsia and green cushions sits proudly in the middle of this high-ceilinged room which is accessed by a solid wooden staircase. Wooden side tables support feathered lamp shades while, behind the bed, two white sofas contrast nicely against the dark-wood floors and artwork. Glass sliding doors open onto a covered timber deck complete with a comfy sofa and ottomans.
A dressing area provides plenty of hanging space while the ensuite bathroom offers a large stainless steel bath, wooden vanity with twin basins and a walk-in terrazzo rain shower. Guests in this room enjoy exclusive access to satellite TV.
Master suite 2 (Amber): Opposite Saffron on the first floor landing, the second master suite, Amber, also presents stunning views across the pool and garden. The netted, four-poster king-size bed sports bright turquoise cushions and white feather lampshades ornament the bedside tables. Furnished with an eclectic array of artefacts and artworks, this room also features a mezzanine level complete with TV and queen-size daybed (which can be used as an extra bed). A walk-in dressing room and ensuite bathroom with Palimanan stone floor, rain shower, stainless steel bathtub, and twin basins complete this suite.
Pool view room (Ginger): Downstairs, the queen-bedded Ginger room opens out onto a large stone patio area that looks directly over the inviting swimming pool. This room can be accessed from the garden and from a walkway at the rear of the building featuring enormous vase fountains cascading into a fish pond. Splashes of bright orange and purple silk and a white egg-shaped chair inject vitality into the room, contrasting with its polished grey terrazzo floors. Off the bedroom lies a separate dressing area and an ensuite bathroom with Palimanan stone floor, rain shower, stainless steel bathtub, and twin basins.
Twin converted studyroom (Cinnamon): Also located on the ground floor of the main building, the converted study – which is ideal for children – features whitewashed teak beds draped with mosquito nets and polished grey terrazzo floors. Like the Ginger room, this guestroom opens onto the large stone patio facing the pool and can also be accessed from the rear walkway. Funky Japanese doll lampshades light up the room while a white egg-shaped chair sits in one corner. The bathroom is identical to that of the Ginger room.
Guest pavilions (Paprika, Clove and Vertyver): Three guest bedrooms face the pool in stand-alone pavilions set on lawns sloping down towards the river, each with a patio from which to enjoy the view. The three rooms are similar in design but feature differently hued bathrooms and individual artwork. Each room is furnished with a queen-size four-poster bed draped with a mosquito net and provides plenty of storage space. Ensuite bathrooms feature cobbled stone floors, black marble twin wash basins and rain showers.
Living, dining and kitchen
Sea & Salt Villa’s 250-square-metre open-sided living and dining area is a highlight of the estate. Cooled with ceiling fans this spectacular two-tiered pavilion with its enormous alang-alang thatched roof provides the ultimate leisure and dining experience.
Guests can relax on the extremely comfortable purple and red upholstered L-shaped lounge and ottomans set around a low wooden coffee table. Silver balls, modern sculptures and bright artwork bring this traditional structure to life.
On the upper tier, the dining area is fit for a banquet with its huge wooden table and funky purple wicker chairs. Next to the dining pavilion are ponds filled with water lilies, a cascading waterfall and tall vase fountains which flow gently in the background. To the rear of the dining area is a fully equipped stainless steel-finished kitchen complete with two ovens and gas burners, microwave, double-door fridge, freezer and coffee machine.
Outdoor spaces, garden and pool
The centrepiece of the villa, the 30 x 8-metre swimming pool sits strategically overlooking the sloping garden and neighbouring rice fields making it the perfect spot for sundowners. Single and double loungers shaded by umbrellas lets guests enjoy the surroundings in comfort. A floating gazebo is accessed by a walkway from one side of the pool, offering a great massage platform. Surrounded by coconut palms and dotted with fragrant frangipanis, the impeccably manicured lawns provide a wonderful setting for yoga and meditation as well as weddings and special events.
Lounge bar and cinema room
Alongside the river, and immediately to the front of the living and dining area, is an air-conditioned lounge bar which adapts to become a comfortable cinema room in the evening. Two oversize day beds allow guests to unwind while beverages are served from a black granite counter. If preferred, the French doors can be opened onto two terraces to make the most of the tropical air; one overlooking the Pangi river and the other facing the pool, shaded with sails and featuring an eight-seater dining table. The lounge bar boasts a Bose sound system which also feeds music to the garden areas, while a powder room positioned just below the lounge bar is particularly convenient for guests attending special events.

A non-refundable deposit of thirty percent (30%) of the total rental cost has to be paid to us to secure the reservation, within 5 days of confirmation. Once we receive the deposit, your provisional reservation will be a definitive reservation. (For bookings of Chalets in Zermatt or Villas in Greece and Bali the deposit to pay is 50%).
The balance of the total rental cost must be paid not less than eight weeks prior to the arrival at the villa.
We are entitled to treat the booking as cancelled if the payment fails the balance on time and the cancellation policy set out below will apply.
Once we have received your deposit, we will confirm your booking by sending you a voucher. Please check this carefully as soon as you receive it. Contact us immediately if any information which appears on the voucher seems to be incorrect or incomplete, as it may not be possible to make changes later.
A binding contract between you and the Owner will come into existence on receipt of your deposit.
Once the rental charge is fully settled and the Booking Form fully completed, we send you the Accommodation voucher along with the Directions how to reach the property and the useful contact telephone numbers.
Methods of payment:
Payments are received in Euros, by Bank transfer and credit cards through Paypal with Visa, Mastercard & Amex. Please be aware if you pay with credit card you will be subject to a surcharge of 3%.
Alterations/Cancellations by the Owner
In the unlikely event of a significant change or cancellation of the booking by the Owner, we will inform the client as soon as possible. If requested and if available we will try to arrange alternative accommodation of a similar type, price, standard and location. Alternatively, the client will receive a full refund, but we will not be liable to pay cancellation charges on the travel arrangements or for any other loss.
Luxury Villa Rentals Italy acts only as agents for accommodations and assumes no responsibility for property loss or damage, nor liability for injury, accident, delay or irregularity which may be occasioned either by reason or defect in any vehicle or the acts of any company or persons engaged in conveying the passengers to or from their accommodations. If for any reason beyond its control including force majeure, or the sale of the house, Luxury Villa Rentals Italy is forced to cancel the booking made by the client or his agent, best efforts will be made to offer another property of equivalent standard with which the client will be in agreement. If the price of the alternative property is less, the difference will be refunded to the client, but if the price is higher the client must pay the difference. If however, no agreement can be reached, both parties are entitled to cancel. Luxury Villa Rentals Italy will refund to the client only the rental price paid; no other amounts will become due.
Cancellations by You
Any cancellation by the client (for whatever reason) must be in writing (Including email or fax). The effective date of cancellation is the date we receive written notification. If the client cancels after the deposit has been paid, it will lose the deposit.
If the client cancels after the balance has been paid, it will lose both deposit and the balance.
We strongly recommend that the client takes out insurance to cover any cancellation.
All clients must be insured against holidays risks. Their signature on the booking form is a declaration that the client has a travel insurance and cancellation cover. On the Booking Form the client have to include the name and address of the insurance company and the policy number.
Security and Valuables
Any valuables left at the villa are left at own risk. Neither we nor the Owner are responsible for any loss. When provided, burglar alarms must be activated, safes used and proper care be taken against theft and burglary. It is essential and your responsibility to ensure all doors, shutters, windows are closed and locked when leaving the villa, or when by the poolside/in the grounds. No refund can be given should the client decide to vacate the property as a consequence of a burglary; unless it can be proven that the Owner has failed to inform the client of anti-burglary systems in the villa.
A security deposit is required to cover the cost of any damages or breakages to, or at the property, any additional cleaning, the cost of telephone and/or other services/utilities that are not included in the rental price. This amount will be payable by the client direct to the Owner in cash in Euros at the arrival.
The cost of utilities and/or other services used by the client or any damage caused by the client will be deducted from the security deposit and the remaining balance will be returned to the client by the Owner at the departure from the villa. If the security deposit paid by the client is not sufficient to cover the cost of such utilities and/or services or damage, the Owner is entitled to recover any additional costs from the client.
It is a client's responsibility to make sure the client deals with the arrangements for the security deposit. We can take no responsibility for any loss in relation to the security deposit.
The Owner reserves the right to make deductions from the security deposit for any extra cleaning, over the number of hours committed to departure cleaning, and to claim against the client for damage or loss, the cost of which exceeds the security deposit.
Rentals run from Saturday to Saturday (unless otherwise agreed):
- arrival times: between 3 p.m. and 7.30 p.m.. For late arrivals after 7:30pm hours there could be foreseen an extra charge of 50 Euros. After 22:00 hours it will be not possible to arrange a check in.
- departure times: before 10.00 a.m. (unless otherwise agreed):
- any delays or variations must be communicated at least 48 hours before arrival. No refund will be given if the guest is unable to take up residence of the property on the expected day or at the scheduled time owing to travel problems. The same rule applies to early departure
Cleaning and order
The houses must be delivered and left clean and in order. Crockery and other equipment of the house (chairs, blankets, etc.) must not be used or transported out of the house. Candles and oil burners are not permitted inside the house and must be used with great care on paved terraces. After delivery, repairs of breakdowns caused by the Clients and those of ordinary maintenance (plugging of toilets. and basins, damages to equipment and furniture and to the property, stains on mattresses and bed covers, broken crockery) will be charged to the Clients and the amounts will be deducted directly from the security deposit. In uncertain circumstances the person in charge will keep the whole of the security deposit and will return any balance together with receipts for the expenses met for repairs carried out after the departure of the Client.
